Milton’s Paradise Lost Illustrated by Gustave DoréExcellent Victorian edition of Miltons Paradise Lost illustrated by Gustave Dor. Surely this is one of Dors best known and best loved works, crowded with dramatic black and white engravings of angels and devils. The book is undated but I place it confidently between the 1880s 1890s. Bound in mustard yellow cloth coverboards with a fantastic angel decoration on the front. Condition is very good: Some minor wear to the cover.
