PyriteThe Eagle mine is probably best known for its pyritohedral Pyrite specimens. This full thumbnail sized specimen is a great display piece of Eagle Mine Pyrite showing typical striated pyritohedra with sharp, lustrous faces. Its also nearly a floater as there is only a small point of attachment, and it is crystallized nearly all the way around. At one point there were hundreds, if not thousands, of these specimens available and they are now seldom seen

and it’s one of my favorite Vivianites from this mine for obvious reasons

along with the Quartz crystals

This specimen hosts several good quality Tetrahedrite crystals measuring up to 6 mm with great luster

I acquired just a few of these specimens in 2011 and I honestly thought them to be a common and unassuming associated species i

even though it's not a complete crystal

and almost all of them are virtually damage free

translucent
