Like several members of the Class 37 9 sub class it was initially repainted in the unbranded version of the new Roundel

with hidden stay-alive capacitors

it spent periods at Oswestry and Hereford before being withdrawn from Cardiff East Dock after a 16 year working life

Marker lights can be turned off when train is coupled to loco

Complementing 55022 from the first run is York’s 55013 in its similar special livery with silver fuel tanks
